  • Allergy testing is recommended before the planned procedure if there is any doubt you may be allergic to dye or pigment.
  • Limit the use of aspirin or ibuprofen prior to your scheduled appointment.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours before your procedure.
  • Do not take Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior to the procedure (they are natural blood thinners).

Scar Camouflaging Post Procedure Instructions

  • If swelling occurs you can apply ice to the treated areas for 10-30 minutes. Ice helps to reduce swelling and aids in the healing process.
  • Starting the night of the procedure use lukewarm water on procedure area; using your fingertips apply medium pressure, massage liquid antibacterial soap such as Dial into the procedure area for 10-20 seconds and rinse with water. Lightly pat the area dry with a clean towel; repeat daily until the scab is gone (Washing DOES NOT remove the pigment. Washing daily removes bacteria, a buildup of product, oils, and dead skin cells).
  • Do not expose the procedure area to the full water pressure of the shower until the area is healed.
  • Do not rub, pick or scratch at the scab (epithelial crust) on the treated area. Allow scabbing to naturally fall off (Picking can cause scarring or loss of color).
  • Do not submerge your face in fresh, salt or chlorinated pool or bath water for 2 weeks following the procedure.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 2 weeks following the procedure.
